On Monday, a symposium was held at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College entitled "The Political, Social and Economic Role of Women in Jordanian Society" for scholars in the National Defense Course 20, in the presence of the College Commandant, Brigadier General Azzam Al-rawahnah. The symposium, in which former Minister Dr. Lina Shabib, Dr. Nawal Al-Faouri and Director of Women's Affairs, Colonel Doctor Manal Abu Al-Ghanem participated, discussed several axes, most notably the political and economic role of women in Jordanian society and the social role of women in Jordanian society, in addition to the role of women in the armed forces. The symposium aimed to highlight the role of women locally, regionally and internationally in decision-making places, where women played a pivotal, fundamental and important role in shaping the concept of community security and community protection. Political, economic and social reform is an urgent necessity for comprehensive development, given the importance of empowering every member of society to confront cultural, economic, social and political changes. At the end of the symposium, an extensive discussion took place during which the participants answered the scholars' questions and inquiries.
