On Thursday, the 19th National Defense Course and the Master of Strategies program in the face of extremism and terrorism No. 5 at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College by The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huniti  and in the presence of the Chief of Defense Staff of the British Army General Sir Nicholas Carter With the participation of a number of officers of the armed forces and security services and a number of employees of various state institutions, and officers from brotherly and friendly countries.

Major General Al-Haniti pointed out the importance of the national defense course and the program of strategies in the face of extremism and terrorism in the rehabilitation of military and civilian intellectual elites with strategic visions capable of bringing about positive change in various leadership positions, and conveyed to the participants the greetings and blessings of His Majesty King Abdullah, wishing them success during their accession to this distinguished military scientific edifice.

The opening of the session included a lecture by the Chief of Defence Staff of the British Army, in which he said: We need to take advantage of defence security to build a regional system to deal with various crises, and we have new concepts in the use of defense diplomacy through the good use of our security, military forces and relations with our allies and partners.

 

"We need to control new security diplomacy through integration, because it is the only way to balance, we need to invest in human resources in a way that will help us meet challenges and fill gaps so that we can better address threats, especially in this transformative phase in the region," he said.

 

The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Royal Jordanian National Defense College, Vice-President of Moata University for Military Affairs, a number of senior officers of the armed forces and security services, the British Ambassador to Amman and a number of accredited military attachés to brotherly and friendly countries.
